Some root node kind subtype attributes have been deprecated, for example, device_type on Printer.Consolidation does not work between versions 8.3.x and 9.0.Customer installed software on the appliance may no longer work as the number of packages in version 9.0 on RHEL 6 has been reduced.You must read the Installation, migration, and upgrade overview to determine which path to take. While the upgrade is straightforward, there is an important decision to be made. Moving from BMC Atrium Discovery 8.3.x to version 9.0 is not the same as previous upgrades.You should be aware of the following changes which cause major behavioral changes in the product. BMC Atrium Discovery 9.0 is a major change from version 8.3.x.
